The jury for the 52nd edition of the Casa de las Américas Literature Award is already in Cienfuegos, city in which it will remain until next January 23rd to select the winners of the contest.
For the tenth time, Gran Caribe Jagua Hotel hosts writers, academics and playwrights from Argentina, Spain, Colombia, Chile and Cuba, as well as those from Brazil, Guatemala, Bolivia, Peru and the United States of America.
During their stay in this city the experts will exchange opinions with writers and students from Cienfuegos and Latin America.
The group will also take the traditional tour through the city and a visit to Trinidad historical downtown area, until January 23rd when the event will finish at Bookstore with the presentation of the works awarded in 2010.
This edition of the contest has received so far over 300 works, which contest in the categories of artistic- literary essays, stories, novels, Brazilian and testimonial literature.
